IPS Mould Curtains stop your parts from scattering randomly within the mould open space by keeping them within the desired “drop zone”.

Operation:

Mould Shields crystal clear plastic curtain allows you to observe your moulding area, and monitor your parts production in progress. With an in-service life expectancy of 3 million cycles Mould Shields have a rapid payback based on scrap reduction and increased good production output.

As the mould opens and closes the Mould Shield correspondingly unwinds and recoils itself with each press cycle. Since Mould Shields are easily attached and removed as necessary, they can be quickly moved from press to press to meet changing production demands.

If a standard size or multiple stacked shield won’t meet your needs, we will make you a shield to any size you want. For vertical presses, where you might need to enclose 3 sides of your mould, we have special kits to meet your application. Installation:

Mould curtains are easy to install simple to remove.
Some assembly of hardware and magnets is required.
Magnet with locating post is positioned on the outer edge of the mould
The Mould Shield Attachment Handle latches onto the magnet locating post
For larger vertical sizes Mould Shields can be stacked one on top of the other.
Install a spacer between the magnet and Mould Shield when using an air blast during mould opening (allowing air to enter the vortex that is created and prevent the Shield being pulled into the mould open space)
